Acceptable use policy

vids.fm exists to help real sellers promote real products. This policy is part of our terms. It applies to everything you upload, generate, publish or remix.

Sell honestly

• Only make clips for products you sell or are allowed to promote.
• No counterfeit, replica or "first copy" goods presented as genuine, and no brands you have no right to use.
• No false or misleading claims: fake discounts, invented reviews or testimonials, health or cure claims, or "guaranteed" earnings.
• No scams, pyramid schemes, fake giveaways or bait-and-switch offers.
• Check that the clip shows the product accurately before you post it. AI can change details; don't use a clip that misrepresents what buyers will get.

Respect people

• Don't upload or generate images, voices or likenesses of real people without their consent, including celebrities and public figures.
• No deepfakes, impersonation or content implying someone endorses a product when they don't.
• No harassment, hate, or content attacking people for who they are.
• Don't put other people's private information in clips.

Respect other people's work

• Upload only photos, logos, music and voice recordings you own or have permission to use.
• Don't use vids.fm to strip watermarks or credits from someone else's photos to pass them off as your own.

Restricted products

Don't promote illegal products or services, or these regulated categories: weapons and ammunition, drugs and drug paraphernalia, tobacco and vaping products, prescription medicines, gambling and betting, adult and sexual products or services, financial schemes and unlicensed investment products. Alcohol may only be promoted to adults and where the law allows.

Content that's never allowed

• Sexual content, nudity, or anything sexualising minors.
• Graphic violence, gore, self-harm or content that promotes it.
• Terrorism, violent extremism or content inciting violence.
• Political ads, election content, or misinformation about public health, safety or civic processes.

Use the service fairly

• One account per person. Don't create accounts to collect bonus credit.
• Don't scrape, overload, reverse engineer or get around limits, prices or safety filters.
• Don't resell vids.fm generations as a service or API without our written permission.

Label AI content

Clips are made with AI. Follow the rules of the platforms you post on, many of which require you to label AI-generated content.

Reports and enforcement

Anyone can report a public clip with the "Report this clip" link on its page. We review reports and may remove content, unpublish it from the community, remove credit obtained by abuse, or suspend or close accounts. Serious cases, such as child safety issues or fraud, may be reported to the authorities.
